Hello! I’m intending for this to be my space where I post my research and discoveries as I prepare for dissertation-related fun!
The title and quote are from James I of Scotland’s The Kingis Quair, an autobiographical text that the king wrote about his time in captivity. I just thought the image of guiding lanterns was particularly lovely. And, I first read this text during my year in Aberdeen, so I have good memories associated with it!
